Patna: a navigating between allies of the NDA for the division of seats for 24 Legislative Council seats increased further on Sunday after BJP senior leader and deputy minister of the state chairman Tarkishore Prasad almost refused to request Mukesh Sahani-LED party Vikasheel Insa (VIP) for four seat.
Because he was asked whether Sahani threatened field candidates from all 24 local authority elections for Board polls if his request for four seats was not filled with NDA, Prasad said, “We (BJP) never opposed the Board poll with VIP.
Instead, we were chosen Sahani as Board members because it is one of our important allies.
“Chosen members of the institution of Pancayati Raj (PRIS) and Urban Local Agencies (ULBS) chose in the selection of local legislative authorities.
24 seats fell passively on July 16, 2021 after the selected MLC previously completed their six-year term.
Contacted by telephone, VIP spokesman Rajiv Mishra told TI on Sunday that his party had made the preparation needed to oppose all 24 seat chairs, if it was not given four seats as a Mitra Nda.
When asking four desired VIP constituents for the contest, Mishra said he would not reveal the names now because it would cause more problems among allies.
“The Election Commission has not yet told the Board poll.
After the notification is issued, we will officially continue the names of four seats to the top leaders,” Mishra said.
He also said the CM representative was true in his statement, but the last board poll for 24 seats was held in 2015 and VIP appeared in 2018.
“Therefore, there is no question to fight for this poll alliance before.
Even JD (U) is not BJP allies in 2015 when the last poll was held,” said Mishra.
In the 2015 poll, BJP has won 11 seats, JD (U) five, RJD Four, LJP One, Independent One and Two Congress.
Then, one of the Independent Winners, Ashok Kumar Agarwal (Katihar), and LJP MLC Nutan Singh joined BJP, took the calculation to 13 in 24 seats.
Likewise, three MLC – Radha Charan Sah (Bhojpur-Buxar)), Dilip Rai (Sitamarhi-Sheohar) and Sanjay Prasad (Muger) joined JD (U), took the number to eight.
MLC Congress Rajesh Ram (West Champaran) also joined JD (U) a few months ago.
The current member of the member in the State Legislative Council is 51 on a total of 75.
