Chennai: BJP State Leadership on Friday Removes Three Officials of the Karaikudi District Unit from the Main Party Membership.
The development came a few days after the Karaikudi District Unit official criticized the former National Secretary of the H King Party for “Highhandedness.” Karu Nagarajan Party Secretary General expelled Zonal President Kunnakudi N Prabhu, Zonal President Karaikudi K Chandran, and Sakkottai South Zonal President K Balamurugan, according to a statement.
They have been removed from the primary party membership for violating party rules and pampering themselves in activities that tarnish the party’s image.
Party officials have been advised to release their contacts with the trio, Karu Nagarajan said in the statement and noted that the decision was taken with the consensus of President Lan Murugan.
Some officials in the Karaikudi district register their protests against the king, who have lost the election of the Assembly in the constituency of Kariaikudi against Congress candidates S Mangudi.
Many functionaries have submitted their resignation as a sign of their protest.
