Kolkata: BJP Ward coordinator at KMC, Tista Das Biswas, died in a car accident on Wednesday on the way home from a family vacation in Dighha.
According to the KMC source, the Ward 86 coordinator was in the mid-30s.
A truck crashed into a car where Das Biswas, along with his family, traveled.
His husband and son, who suffered a minor injury, was taken to the Em Bypass private hospital, said the source.
“He died in a car accident.
We pray that his dead soul,” Amitava Chakraborty, Secretary of the BJP Bengal Unit Organization.
BJP National Vice President Dilip Ghosh and the opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari shed his death.
“Unfortunately he died when he returned from Digha when his car met with an accident.
We pray for the fast recovery of his husband and son,” Adhikari said.
