Srinagar: Terrorists on Monday shot dead Sarping BJP and his wife in the Anantnag District of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Ultra fired at the Ghulam Rasool Dar, as well as the President of Kulgam, Kisan Morcha BJP, and his wife at Anantnag Town in South Kashmir, said a police officer.
He said both were rushed to hospital where they gave up on their injury.
Dar, a resident of Kulgam Redwani, is Sarpanch who is affiliated with BJP.
He was not successfully contested by the election of the Regional Development Council last year.
Dar currently lives in rented accommodation in Anantnag.
