BHubaneswar: BJP on Saturday announced that he would intensify his movements demanding another quota of reverse (OBC) in the election of Panchayat.
The party said it would protest against the state government moving to continue with rural polls without reservations for OBC.
Odisha BJP OBC Morcha President KeThwal accused that the government showed an irresponsible attitude by not taking into account public interest.
“We will fight for the block and Panchayat level in the coming days,” Balwal said.
He said OBC consisted of 54% of the country’s population.
“There was a 27% reservation for this category in the previous election.
But why does the government not make the provisions for this time? Some states like Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, who face the same situation, have moved the Supreme Court, but our government refused to act on This problem, “he added.
Balikwal said the party would have a demonstration before the office of the collectors to January 8.
“We will collect opinions about five lakh people and hand over their signatures to Governor Ganeshi Lal to put pressure on the government.
Our fight will continue for the Rights of the OBC community,” Balwal said.
