BJP to the protest stage to open the TN temple

Chennai: BJP members will hold protests in front of major temples in Tamil Nadu on October 7 against the government’s decision not to allow public worship in temples on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, BJP President of the State of the State in a statement.
“Party leaders and cadres will protest in front of all the main temples demanding that the government allow worshipers to visit temples on all days with direct effects.
Protests will be coordinated by former National Secretary H Raja,” Annamalai said in a statement issued on Friday.
He urged the public to expand their support for protests.
If the government does not heed the request, protests will be made as “People’s Movement”, he said.
The government’s actions, including the restrictions on the celebration of Vinayagar Chathurthi and melting the gold offered to temples by worshipers, delivered a message that DMK still operates on the philosophy of its establishment, said Annamalai.
Questioning the logic behind closing religious institutions between Friday and Sunday to control the spread of Covid, he said that it affected the livelihood of lakh people, who sold puja and coconut goods in front of the temples.
