Lucknow: BJP appeared towards a big victory in the election of the chairman of Zila Panchayat on Saturday.
In accordance with the land report, candidates supported by BJP won most of the 53 seats to polls.
While the State Election Commission has not announced the results, the unconfirmed report claims that BJP wins more than 45 districts.
The candidates supported by the ruling party have won the chair of chairmen in 21 districts, including Varanasi and Gorakhpur, not placed on June 29.
According to reports, the candidates supported by BJP managed to register victory at Ayodhya and Mathura, Hindutva political epicentum.
While in Ayodhya, the candidate supported by BJP Roli Singh defeated the SP supported by Indu Sen Yadav, in Mathura, a candidate supported by BJP Kisan Singh registered a victory against Rajendra Singh Sikarwar.
The election of the ZP Chair has turned into a prestige contest for BJP and opposition, especially SP, ahead of the election of high peg assembly next year.
While the election of the ZP Chair was not held at symbols, BJP openly announced a candidate supported by political madness in the opposition camp.
Even when SP challenged BJP, BSP walked out of the contest after the Mayawati party’s head announced that the party would stay away from the election of the ZP chairman.
