New Delhi: BJP on Thursday welcomed the increase by the Supreme Court to enforce a constitutionality of 27% and 10% of reservations for OBC and EWS (more economically weaker parts) each in Neet (national feasibility testing test) to enter medical courses.
“It justifies the vision of the prime minister,” Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said in a tweet that reacted to the APEX court ruling.
The APEX court stated a detailed sequence on Thursday for the direction of January 7 to allow the start of the reception counseling process through NEET-PG.
Pradhan said the Narendra Modi government created a new paradigm of social justice in this country.
The APEX court gives its direction which allows counseling to enter medical courses for 2021-22 based on 27% quota for OBC and 10% for EWS.
In the order of the court observed that “services cannot be reduced to the definition of performance in open competitive examinations that only provide formal equality opportunities”.
