BJP won Gandhinagar, 2 other civilians

Ahmedabad: BJP which was in power on Tuesday defended Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) and won on two other civil bodies in Gujarat, while Congress took the Bhanvad municipality in the Devbhumi-Dwarka district of the Safron Party.
In GMC, BJP determined its superiority from the beginning of the calculation at 9 o’clock in the morning, and finally defeated his rival congress and the AAM AADMI Party (AAP) with a large margin.
The GMC poll was seen as a litmus test for BJP in the background of his sudden and surprising decision to change the minister of head of state and the entire cabinet recently, ahead of the polls of the State Assembly next year.
The party has registered a victory pounding in the local body poll held in February this year.
In accordance with the final calculation released by the State Election Commission (SEC), of a total of 44 seats in GMC, BJP won 41 seats, Congress-two and AAP bagged one seat.
Vote counting was also held for three other cities – Okha and Bhanvad in Devbhumi-Dwarka District, and Thara Municipality of Banskantha District.
In accordance with the final number released by seconds after the vote count, BJP won 20 of 24 seats in Tharara, while Congress only got four seats.
BJP maintained Okha Municipality by winning 34 of 36 seats, while two seats went to Congress.
However, in a setback to BJP, Congress appeared by winning in Bhanvad by winning 16 of 24 seats.
BJP, who won eight seats today, in power in Bhanvad since 1995.
Voting for GMC selection and three other cities take place on Sundays.
In addition, Bypolls to select representatives in 104 empty seats from various other local bodies were also held on the same day.
Of the total 2.8 lakh voters registered in Gandhinagar, 56.24 percent have run their franchise.
Voter voters in Okha and Bhanvad were 55.07 and 62.27 percent, while Thara has recorded a 73.55 percent impressive turn.
In Gandhinagar, the AAM AAM AADMI Party (AAP) has made a shared effort other than traditional BJP rivals and Congress.
A total of 161 candidates challenged GMC polls, with BJP and Battle of Congress in all 44 seats and AAP in 40 seats.
In the 2016 GMC selection, both Congress and BJP won 16 seats out of a total of 32 seats at that time.
Both parties then have the same opportunity to form a board through lot lottery.
However, at the last moment, Corporate Congress Pravin Patel Switch side and helped BJP in power in Civic’s body.
The latest election was initially considered held in April this year, but was postponed given the high number of Covid-19 cases that appeared every day at that time.
