POINGUINUM: The fight broke out between two BJP workers groups in Canacona recently on the issue of ticketing tickets, at meetings held to establish responsibility for future polls.
However, the BJP Canacona functionary underestimated the incident.
A source said the cause of tension was a secret ballot held in Margao by the party earlier this week to ensure worker preferences to sit MLA Isidore Fernandes or former Mla Ramesh Tawadkar as a candidate.
Watch war between the two groups of workers was brought by senior officials who attended the meeting.
BJP Secretary Sarvanand Bhagat told reporters that there was “no problem”, and that everything went smoothly.
“There are some misunderstandings but it’s sorted.
All workers will work for the success of the party,” he said.
