Howrah: A BJP worker in the West Benggal Howrah District has filed a complaint to the police who accused local leaders and activists from the Trinamool Congress – raping his silent wife.
TMC said it was with the victim’s family and demanded punishment for the perpetrator.
The police said that they arrested two of the five people mentioned in FIR on Monday.
A manhunt has also been launched for three other people suspected of being involved in the incident that took place at his home on Saturday night when his husband and his son were not present.
Women are currently undergoing treatment at the Super Ulububeria Special Hospital and the police picket has been posted in front of his house.
Amit Malviya, senior BJP leader and co-incharge of the West Bengal Party, accused in tweeted twitter posts that the 34-year-old wife of a BJP worker was bound and raped by TMC workers in the Howrah District of the Bavan District.
“The local police initially refused to file their complaints and wanted to disburse this case.
TMC uses rape as a political tool to silence opponents,” he tweeted.
On the other hand, the President of the TMC District of Howrah Polak Roy said that criminals did not have caste, religion, or race.
“All criminals are punished in our country.
We are with family and we demand that all the culprit be punished,” said Roy, Minister of Health Public Health Engineering.
Sukanta Kumar Paul, MLA TMC Amta, and other party leaders visited the victim at the hospital.
The woman, who lives somewhere under the jurisdiction of the Bognan police station with her husband and two of his sons, has suffered a brain stroke six years ago, after he lost his speech but could hear.
The victim’s husband, who entered the Flex and Banner business, said that he had gone to Kolkata for some work on Saturday and could not return.
According to complaints submitted to the police, some people called the woman with her nickname that night and she opened the door.
A group of five people broke home, beat him and raped him after tying him.
They had dropped his motorcycle at his wife’s foot before leaving his house, BJP workers claimed in his complaint.
The son of the victim, who was in another room when the incident occurred, on Monday said that his brother was on the duty of the night on Saturday, and he (Elder Brother) was the first to see that their mother was tied and there was a sign on the body .
The victim’s sister-in-law who lived next to said that he hadn’t heard anything.
The victim was originally taken to the Bangan Police Station.
From there he was taken to a local hospital and then received at the Super Ulububeria Special Hospital.
