BJP’s Sonkar won by 2 votes in Kaushambi

Prayagraj: Kalpana Partana Bharatiya Janata, Sonkar appeared to win a close fight to pocket the chair of Zila Panchayat President in Kaushambi on Saturday.
He defeated his rival the Samajwadi party supported Vijma on the narrow margin of two votes to be chosen.
SP workers and weapons alleged that district and police officials worked to ensure rival candidate victory.
Previously, the voting began at 11 am at the district head office in the middle of strict security.
Of the 26 members of Zila Panchayat qualified to give their voices, only one Arsi Jafri from Ward Number 3 which failed to appear.
25 The rest gave their voices before the deadline of 3pm.
The district selection office informed that one voice was declared invalid during the calculation process.
Out of the 24 remaining sounds, Sonkar pocketed 13 votes, while being waided can secure only 11 votes.
Before the declaration of the results, SP leaders and workers alleged that the entire official engine worked to ensure the BJP victory in power in elections.
