Ayodhya: After completing the foundation of Temple Ram, raising its height up to 107m above sea level, the second phase of the construction began at RamjanMabhoomi on Tuesday after the ‘Mahurat’ prayers specifically at the proposed Sanctum Sanctorum.
For the first time, black granite stones were being sent from the mine in the wooded collegal area in the border of Karnataka-Tamil Nadu to build the base, in addition to the source of the carved stone from Mirzapur and pink marble from Bansi Paharpur in Rajasthan.
Members believe the Anil Mishra temple, who attended the ceremony, said, “Lord Vishwakarma was worshiped in the Vedic singing before the installation of the first stone for establishing ‘Garbh Griha’.
The supply of stone has been started from the collelygal and mirzapur.” More than 2 brick lakh collected by VHP from all over India during the three decades of temple movements will now be used for temple construction, the main source said in trust.
Since 1989, more than 3 lakh bricks bear the name RAM mobilized by appointment to use it for the temple, but then stored in Ramjanmabhoomi Nirman Karyashala.
This will now shift to a temple construction workshop.
Speaking with Toi, a member of Temple Trust, Anil Mishra, said, “One stone lakh was put in 1989 ‘Shilanyas’ by Seevaks Kar at Ramjanmabhoomi.” According to Mishra, “at least 2 lakh remains at the old workshop, which will shift to the construction site.
Bricks bear testimony for the faith of the Crores of Indians.”
