Washington / Kathmandu: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with the New Nepal Prime Minister who was appointed by Sher Bahadur Deuba where they discussed bilateral bonds and Covid-19 assistance to the Himalayas.
Blinken and Deuba emphasized the importance of As-Nepal’s partnership and discussed US donations recently of 1.5 million vaccines and other Covid-19 assistance to Nepal, a Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
“The Secretary and Prime Minister also discussed our cooperation to fight the effects of climate change,” said the price in a statement.
Deuba was appointed as Prime Minister for the fifth record on July 12 after the Intervention of the Supreme Court of Nepal, in Kathmandu, Nepal’s foreign ministry said the Prime Minister Deuba received a telephone call from Blinken and had a friendly conversation.
“Things related to bilateral relations and cooperation, including today’s priority issues, such as, Covid-19 vaccine cooperation and medical assistance equipment and supplies for Nepal are discussed during the conversation,” he said.
The Secretary of State surpassed the Prime Minister about his appointment, according to the Ministry.
Prime Minister Deuba appreciates the US government to provide the Covid-19 vaccine and is asked for further assistance from the appropriate vaccine to cover children and younger populations to prevent the third WAV speculatially speculate e from pandemics, the Foreign Ministry said.
Conversation also includes various fields of nepal development priorities, the cooperation of the United States and MCC.
They also discussed “the problem of global warming and climate change and its impact on the economies of vulnerable mountainous countries such as Nepal,” he said.
Prime Minister Deuba underlines Nepal’s democratic credentials and commitment to human rights and legal supremacy.
Delivering his greetings and the best hope for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, Prime Minister Deuba expressed his willingness to work with the Biden government, according to his ministry.
Meanwhile, the US Ambassador to Nepal Randy Berry said that the US government was positive about providing the support needed for Nepal to help fight Pandemic Covid-19.
During the meeting with Finance Minister Janardan Sharma on Tuesday, Berry said that the US government would assist in increasing the education and health sector Nepal.
