Washington: US Secretary Antony Blinken met with the Minister of External (EAM) S Jaishankar on the sidelines of the G20 Summit in Rome and discussed various problems, including efforts to strengthen Indo-Pacific cooperation through Quad.
“I met @Drsjaishankar to discuss efforts to strengthen indo-Pacific cooperation bilaterally and through Quad.
I hope to work together to deepen the US comprehensive strategic strategic partnership,” Blinken tweeted.
In a statement, Ned Price, a spokesman for the US State Department stated, “Blinken and Jaishankar discussed various problems, including efforts to strengthen Indo-Pacific cooperation through Quad and expand cooperation in general regional priorities.” Blinken and Jaishankar also discussed cooperation to expand global access to the Covid-19 vaccine, increase climate ambitions in COP26, and strengthen their reciprocal commitments and support for shared democratic values, read the statement.
