LIVERPOOL: US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Australian Foreign Minister Marise Payne in Liverpool to strengthen sustainable efforts to promote peace and prosperity at the Indo-Pacific.

Both leaders met on the sidelines of the Seven Group (G7) Industrial Foreign Minister meeting held in England.
They discuss the deepening of the Australian Alliance, the importance of committing ambitious climate action in the next decade, and the need for allies and partners who think of the same mind to continue to defend, strengthen, and renew democracy throughout the world, reading spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of Foreign Statement .
They also expressed concern over the ongoing Russian aggression against Ukraine and repeated support for peaceful resolution of cross-strait issues without using threats or coercions and emphasized Taiwan’s important contribution to the development of global health.

They also agreed to the importance of having a confirmed Senate ambassador in Canberra as soon as possible remembering the scope and scale of challenges together.
