WASHINGTON: US Secretary Antony Blinken said Thursday that North Korea might seek attention to the launch of the missile, which was said to be “destabilization.” The top US diplomat calls North Korea to sit to talk to the United States, which according to him there is no “hostile intention” against the Kim Jong UN regime.
“I think some of them are North Korea trying to try to get attention.
It was done in the past; maybe will continue to do that,” Blinken said in a television interview with MSNBC.
North Korean tests “are very destabilized, dangerous, and it is contrary to all resolution resolutions of the UN Security Council,” said Blinken.
The media of North Korea reported on Wednesday that Kim personally oversees the launch of successful hypersonic missiles, the second was launched by nuclear armed countries in less than a week.
Washington soon after that announced sanctions in five North Korea related to ballistic missile programs.
Diplomacy has stopped because Kim held three meetings with former President Donald Trump, who took an extraordinary personal approach to diplomacy.
Trump talks did not produce lasting and North Korea agreements have not shown interest in the offer of low-level involvement by the administration of President Joe Biden.
