Thiruvananthapuram: The government has stated that the Central Blue Economic Policy is encroachment into the strength of the state government given under the constitution.
Replying to the calling movement of the call by MLA VR Sunil Kumar in the Assembly on Wednesday, Minister of Fisheries, Affairs of the Youth and Culture of Saja Cherian said that in accordance with the constitution, fisheries were the subject of the country and the Blue Economic Policy announced by the question of the center of state obligations.
He said that the LDF government policy is that such as forest ownership must be given to members of the tribal community which is a forest occupant, the same thing applies in the case of fishermen.
With the implementation of blue economic policies, fragile beaches will be controlled by corporations and tourism lobbying.
He said that there would be large-scale construction along the coast and fishing community houses would disappear.
He said that the increase in sea level had affected melodious fishermen, and non-scientific construction based on blue economic policy would add it.
The minister said that the state had submitted some concerns and suggestions to the center and some of them had been agreed by the center.
However, more concerns have emerged now and the minister of chairman, at several meetings, has asked MPs from the country to increase problems in parliament, he added.
