Bengaluru: Three employees from a private company in the electronic city were arrested on charges of stealing 1,070 laptops, worth more than RS 32 Lakh.
Defendant Jagadish TS of Chikkatogur, Suresh Km from Devarachiknahalli and Lokesh C from Indiranagar, all of them aged 30s and worked as a service assistant at the company, police said.
The theft was revealed on October 15 when Saji Mon Johney’s security supervisor watched 10 laptops stored in the company’s electric space.
He then found three employees, who often visited the room, had stolen a laptop from the warehouse, police said.
Johney told the seniors and investigations between departments.
The three men were found to have stolen 1,070 laptops between the mid 2020 and October 2021.
The police complaint was submitted and the three were ordered below the IPC 381.
“The defendant would slip into the warehouse, turn off CCTV Cameras and go with a laptop,” Johney said in his complaint.

Decided to say they surpassed repairs, the defendant stole and sold it at a low price.
