B’luru: Automatic Track Test Driving Possible in Devanahalli

Bengaluru: Following pills in the High Court that revealed the gap in issuing a driving license, the Department of Transportation has decided to speed up automatic driving testing center settings in the state.
In Bengaluru Urban, regional transportation offices are located in Koramangala, Rajajinagar, Kasturi Nagar, Yeswantpur, Jayanagar, Malathahalli (Jnanabharathi), Devanahalli, Yelakelanda, Devarachiknahalli (City Electronics), Bhattarahalli (K Puram) and Chandapura.
However, ADTC operates in only two places in Bengaluru – Jnanabharathi and Electronics City.
L Narendra Holkar, an additional commissioner (Enderage & e-governance), said: “We want to arrange adts in all RTOS, but there are shortcomings in the city.
We need at least 4 hectares.
We have land in Devanahalli so we plan one there .
“Experts say ADTCS ensures the issuance of DL is more efficient, transparent and strict because there is no manual intervention.
The source of the Department of Transportation said the success rate of DL applicants in ADTCs was less than the manual testing track.
“Horse riding and driving skills are monitored through radio frequency identification technology and CCTV cameras,” said an official.
Transportation officials said they planned ADTC in each district.
While they operate in MySuru, Kalaburagi and Shivamogga, construction in Hassan, Dharwad, Raichur, Mangaluru and Beleagavav.
“We plan to set Adts in Ballari, Gadag, Madikeri, Hospet, Chikkodi, Kolar and Udupi,” Holkar said.
Two weeks ago, the pill filed by Gowrishhankar S, a city resident stated in the Karnataka High Court who ruled 15 rules of motorized vehicles were not fully followed when issuing a license.
Rule Rules 15 Rules of CENTER Motor Vehicle (CMV), 1989 said DL applicants experienced 24 different parameters to test their competencies for driving.
The High Court directed the government to submit a statement which stated in what way the 15 rule was implemented by conducting a driving test in RTOS.
The applicant quotes that it is a difficult test for an average of 50-70 applicants a day in RTO to comply with these 24 parameters.
Joint Commissioner (Bengaluru Urban) KT Halalaswamy said: “In Koramangala, we have limited the number of applicants to 50 days.
It will be extended to other RTOS gradually.”
