Bengaluru: Five criminals who consumed alcohol on the road in New BYappanahalli stabbed a 25-year-old man to death on Sunday night.
The police identified the deceased like Bhupat Singh from Madhya Pradesh.
He works with a construction company as a drill machine operator and lives in a temporary warehouse on the site.
Singh and his friend had finished dinner and stepped out for cold drinks.
They walked towards the store around 9:30 when the five criminal gang asked them to stop.
The criminals asked Singh and his friend not to use the road where they drink and party.
But Singh and his friend did not listen and went to the store to buy cold drinks.
When the store was closed, they walked back to the same road when the criminals intercepted them.
Gang members took out the knife and stabbed Singh several times before escaping.
Singh rushed to the hospital closest to the help of his friend, but gave up on an injury at 11pm.
Police byappanahalli detained several suspects for the murder.
