Bengaluru: Two students from Chennai filed a complaint to the Park Cubbon police, said a group of six seven men kidnapped them from the Museum Road on August 23 and forced them to transfer RS 10 lakh to their account.
Based on their complaints, the police registered firs against unknown men under different parts, including IPC 364A (kidnapping for ransom).
Shanis Usman Kutty and Mohammed Shaheen Hamza, both of them were 23 years old, said they came to Bengaluru in their SUV for personal work on August 23.
“The criminals first blocked our SUV near Anepalya and fought with us.
Then, they stopped us again at the Museum Road, outside Church Street, and drove a SUV to a remote place in Hosur Road.
There they forced us to transfer RS 10 lakh to their Google account and other bank accounts, “read complaints.
“Furthermore, people took us to another place and forced us to smoke marijuana.
They stripped us and recorded videos.
Finally, they released us near the toll road on the afternoon of August 24,” added the complaint.
