Bengaluru: When the Navratri celebration starts across the city, some head out to participate in close events, while others remain cautious and hold on to virtual celebrations.
Chhavi Bagrecha, a housewife, plans to join her friends at the Dandiya program held on a small scale in an apartment complex in Hebbal.
After celebrating Navratri last year only with family at home, he felt safer this year to come out.
“I feel confident because I’m vaccinated and the event will only have limited participants following all Covid guidelines,” he said.
The Nimesh Chhag’s NM event will arrange the Dandiya Neon Festival after a gap in 2020, when the festival is virtually held.
In 2019, this festival has seen more than 3,000 participating people, while this year, CHHAG expects 200 people every day on October 14 and 15.
“We returned to celebrate Divine Goddess when obeying the government and BBMP.
This baby stepped towards normal just satisfying,” he said.
Yakeen Vaghela, a resident of Rajajinagar, who organized Night Garba in the playground in the area along with four friends, a ticket word to their two days (9 and 15 October) sold quickly and one for October 9.
Already sold out.
He said they were a Garba fan community and saw a lot of excitement among people to go out and enjoy the celebration.
Both organizers say they have communicated with participants that it is preferred to attend the event if they are vaccinated and ask them to fill out the self declaration form before entering.
However, not all people are confident about adventuring for celebrations.
Preeti Jain, an IT professional, said he was one of the few in his circle that hadn’t even eaten outside.
“Even for the festival, my brothers and sisters and I will participate in virtual events.
We are worried about grandparents and old parents,” he said.
Jyoti Ashok Khiraiya, Chairperson of Wing Women, South India, Shree Dakshin Bharat Lohana Samaj said the public with 4,000 households in the city, continued to have a virtual event throughout the year.
Lohana Samaj is the Gujarati community.
“This year too, we will participate in Durga Puja installed in Pandal Kolkata.
We will all participate in Aarti through Zoom and sing Bhajan from our home,” he said.
“The coordinator will also play audio that we will all do Garba in our home in front of the screen.
Our respectively, the best dress for Navratri, will be included in the spotlight for a while.
We will be able to see our friends dance while joining They.
We will also feel less lonely, even if we are not next to the person we love, “he said.
