Bengaluru: A 38-year-old car driver lost after allegedly attacking his wife and threw cooking oil for him and their 13-year-old daughter at their residence in LR Nagar, near Koramangala, on Sunday.
According to the police, Thomas, an alcoholic, irregular at work and usually spends time at home.
He often fought with his wife Anthoniyamma, 35, suspecting his character.
On Sunday morning, Thomas returned home in a drunk condition and fighting with him.
He left after several neighbors intervened.
He returned around 1pm when Anthoniyamma watched TV and their daughter, Nancy, was sleeping.
He heated up some cooking oil in the kitchen and attacked his wife with a piece of wood.
When he fell unconscious, he poured oil at him.
Nancy rushed to her mother’s rescue and Thomas poured oil to her too before escaping.
According to the police, Anthoniyamma suffered an injury to his face, chest, stomach, legs, and hands, while Nancy’s hand was injured.
They rushed to the hospital.
Both are said to be stable now.
Adugodi police have taken cases of efforts to kill and attack and are looking for Thomas.
