B’luru: Many schools are happy with the results of ICSE, not ISC

Bengaluru: The test results of one grade 10 and 12 semesters under the Council for the Indian school certificate exam were released on Monday.
While many schools in the city said students had done well in the ICSE test (class 10), the results of the ISC (class 12) came as disappointment with several institutions.
This is for the first time the Board divides the council exam to two.
The first semester board is a multiple choice question (MCQ) with paper from 40 and 50 for ICSE and 70 and 80 for ISC.
Many schools say students scored well in the 10th grade exam “This is the subject that students generally print one incoming centum.
But this time, there are not many who secure full marks in choices such as computer applications and physical education.
It is the same as languages like Hindi and Kannada.
There is no component such as creative writing in language papers because of language paper because A new pattern will result in this, “said Anuradha Benegal, Principal, School of Brigade.
“While the 10th grade exam results are as good as we expected, ISC is not the case.
Some subjects such as psychology and hard accounting and cohort school have written to the board about it.
However, there is no moderation on this subject and we plan to write again .
All our attention will now be refocused in the second half and get ready for the same thing, “said Kalai Selvi, Principal, Academy Vidyashilp.
“In ISC, accounting and mathematics is the most difficult for students in our school.
As accounting, the type of question is not the children who are accustomed to.
This is followed by physics and chemistry.
In addition, this is a batch that does not have many offline classes and exams .
In ICSE, students do well, “said Anuradha Krishnan, Principal, Ebenezer International School, Bengaluru.
Affirming the trend, FR Sunil Fernandes, Principal of the High School St.
Joseph, said learning online because the pandemic also has a role in student performance this year.
“The level of difficulty of some ISC papers is higher.
Also, the new MCQ system helps some students, while it does not support others.
Above all, two years of learning online has its own impact on students.
They skip the positive aspects of peer pressure and Building relationships, the opposite will help them in the academic field too, “he said.
School says all energy will now be channeled to the second semester.
“We hope that conducive conducive to the second exam is also offline,” said Gayetri Devi, a small school principal, public school.
The next exam will be a mixture of subjective and objective questions.
