B’luru: MODUH-UP PHEFT Lands 5 of Family, 2 others in SOW

Bengaluru: The gang thinks it’s a surefire way to make money with modus operandi involving the police.
The plan is simple: one member will steal gold ornaments, promise them with loan companies and raise lakh rupees.
Meanwhile, others will file a complaint and also warn the police about people who promise gold.
While the police will arrest the thief and laugh at after resolving crime, the gang will not only regain their jewelry but can also maintain the loan amount.
But the ambitious plan went kaput when the police examined the ornaments to recover thoroughly and ask questions.
Why do Hindu families (who lose jewelry) have ornaments that are typical of Muslim households? Their poser blew the cover of fraud and the police realized that they were being taken to ride by the complainant and thief, which was part of the same gang.
Sarjapur police arrested seven people, including five of the family, in this connection.
The arrest is: 55-year-old Raviprakalia in Yeshwantpur, his 30-year-old son of Mithun Kumar and Sangeeetha’s son-in-law of Chikkabanavara, Daughter 26 years Asha P and Daughter-in-law Nallu Charan from Sevaganapalli near Hosur in Tamil Nadu, driver Kumar Deepak B from Mallasandra and Kumar Asma’s friend of Chikkabanavara.
They have promised 1,250 grams of gold.
The entire episode was opened when Asha submitted a case of theft on September 19, 2021, alleged that a lee of stealing her bag in a clothing store in Sarjapur when she and family members buy Sari.
He claimed the bag containing Rs 30,000, cellphone and gold weighing 1,250 grams.
Asha’s father Raviprakash told his family police used to bring Dewi Lakshmi with ornaments during the Varamahalakshmi festival and would wear the same only after the puja in the temple in Mysore.
Theft has occurred when they are on our way to the temple.
Initially, the police did not suspect playing photos and began to investigate.
A team led by Inspector Raghavendra Imrapur identified the thief as Deepak and arrested him in December.
Deepak then claimed to commit a crime and claimed he had promised gold ornaments with various financial companies.
The police have recovered 500 grams of gold based on the information.
But they kiss something suspicious when they find some design ornaments are those who are usually worn by Muslim women.
After being interrogated, Deepak spilled beans.
