B’luru: Nigeria Detained for Ecstasy Pills Worth RS 1.8CR

Bengaluru: In one of the biggest seizures of MDMA drugs, commonly known as ecstasy pills, packages from Germany containing 2.6 kg of substances that are prohibited worth RS 1.8 Crore excavated at the Foreign Post Office (FPO) in Bengaluru.
A Nigerian, scheduled to collect the Parcel, which he was suspected of being ordered through Darkweb, was arrested by Bengaluru thread.
The source said the parcel brought ecstasy pills in pink, blue and yellow reaching the FPO in Chamarajpet on Thursday after being sent from an unknown address in Germany.
The customs team scans the package and see something wrong at the base.
They then cut the brown carton box to dig pills inserted at the bottom.
Laboratory tests are ensured pills as psychoactive recreational drugs.
The package is sent for shipping to the Bagalur post office.
“Postman contacted the receiver on Saturday.
Even though he said he would come to Bagalur, he continued to avoid us by changing the location.
Finally, after waiting 48 hours, the suspect said he would come to the bileshivale place,” said an officer.
The suspect came up with a car with his accomplice and the postman gave a dummy package.
Officials chased them and managed to bear a suspect.
His accomplice escaped to the nearest forest.
The suspect was identified as a 29-year-old Nigeria living in Hennur.
He has been ordered under drug narcotics and psychotropic laws (NDPS).
He is in Judicial custody now.
