B’luru: nsiu to launch a 3-year program for graduates

Bengaluru: The National Law School of the University of India (NLSII) will introduce a three-year LLB program that will be open to graduates from any discipline.
This qualification program is different from LLM which is open only for candidates who have a bachelor’s degree in law.

This institution will look for 12 hectares of land from the government to increase their students to 2,200 of the current 660 and faculty strength by 115 of 40.
NLSII plans to build 90,000 Sqft classrooms and study rooms, and 2.50,000 sqft from housing facilities.
As announced in the inclusion plan and expansion of 2021-25, NLSII will bring reservations for OBC, EWS and women too, regardless of the Karnataka domicile quota that has been introduced.
“We also aim to develop a research faculty cadre to recruit scholars dedicated to breaking research, and rearranging research publications to achieve and maintain scientific output recognized by peer internationally,” VC said.
The university is in the final stage to secure the biggest capital grant: The Infosys Foundation has agreed to Grant RS 5 Crore to revive the National Law Library Shri Narayan Rao Melgiri to increase capacity, revive the library and its surroundings, and adopt digital learning and inclusion initiatives.
