B’luru: oneater sidewalks, pubs, swimming pools can go

Bengaluru: With the average Covid-19 case daily fell below 1,000 mark, the state government plans to allow the theater to function with a capacity of 100%, while also allowing pubs with a retail seller’s license and swimming pool to reopen from October.
However, there may be several riders.
While the visitors of theater and pubs may have to be mandator to provide a vaccination certificate, those who want to use the swimming pool must bring a negative RT-PCR test report that is no more than 15 days, said the source in the government.
However, those who have Covid-19 symptoms, children under 10 years, residents over 65 years and pregnant women, will continue to be banned from these areas, said sources.
At present, Cinema ralls have been allowed to operate but only 50% occupancy to 9pm.
While the pub with a vegetable beer license continues to close, the place to serve other liquor has been allowed to do business.
The corresponding behavior of covid, thermal scanning, checking the vaccination certificate, the use of hand sanitis at the entry point and in a strategic location will be mandatory, while the online ticket system can be the norm in the film cinema.
No crowding that will be permitted in public areas such as cafeterias and food and drinks must only be served in disposable containers.
The government can introduce similar limits – such as checking vaccination certificates at the entry point – for pubs, source words.
As for allowing swimming pools to be reopened, the government tends to heed expert advice and make a compulsory RT-PCR test for those who want to use it, regardless of their symptoms.
The test report must be updated once every two weeks.
Source said the government had consulted members of the Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee.
“The government plans to allow cinema space to function at a capacity of 100% and the direction for this has been sought from the committee.
The problem can be decided over the weekend,” said senior officers involved in this problem.
In accordance with the data of Covid Country War, for the past seven days, the overall level of Karnataka testing is 0.6%.
“We cannot ignore the threat of the third wave because there is a possibility of a new variant that appears in the future.
However, because economic and recreational activities must continue, the government can immediately make a decision,” officials said in knowledge.
The pressure of the film industry with the government lifts most of the restrictions imposed when the second wave struck, under pressure to open let the film cinema function with full capacity.
The film industry has staggered in losses and many large budget films are waiting for release.
Some delegates from the industry have met with the main minister over the past few months, urging him to raise limits and allow them to function.
“There is no harm in allowing the cinema to operate at 100% occupancy if the audience only consists of people who are fully vaccinated.
However, ensuring that the appropriate behavior of Covid will be a challenge,” said the source.
Officials said one reason why restrictions had not been raised in these sectors was that people spend more time in pubs, theaters and swimming pools and because it was more vulnerable to contracted infection, besides being a suppreaders.
Not a pub, please Dr CN Manjunath, Nodal Officer for Covid-19 testing in the state, said it was relatively safer to allow cinema space to function at full capacity and reopen the pool rather than the pub today.
“I feel better back the pub for a few weeks, because the pub is a solid place and in most ventilation is not enough,” he said.
He said it was better for those who planned to use the swimming pool to undergo a Covid-19 test at first and then routinely follow up with a test once every two weeks.
“It can be a collection of the same person.
Therefore it is better to have a routine Covid test for swimmers,” he said.
