Bengaluru: History of Babu Bakaru Ajaz from Whitefield has never missed by using a dawn of the new year to study deeper into the Bengaluru heritage.
The annual photo calendar, themed in various aspects of old Bengaluru, is a big lottery.
Last year, the calendar featured photos of old hospitals in the city in honor of Covid-19 warriors.
This year, he has raised his gaze in school buildings, some developed and others were damaged by time.
Ajaz, the owner of a water shop in Gandhipuram, was born and raised in Whitefield.
Old photo collectors related to the city, the 39-year-old began to issue the calendar with a historical twist in 2016.

Ajaz then began collecting photos of old institutions and placed The Fort High School in Chamarajpet, recently renovated to the original glory, to decorate January at the inheritance calendar.
He also placed photographs of various schools, including national high schools in Basavanagudi, Boys Cotton Boys School at Residency Road, St Teresa’s in Anandapuram, Heart Girls High School in Museum Road, Mitralaya High School at Mission Road, Tunbridge School in Ticker Town School models in Chamarajpet, and Middle School in Basavanagudi, for a 12-page calendar.
“I sourced all photos of various history groups online and credit fully went to city history lovers who clicked on it,” Ajaz added.
For October, this calendar featured Rao Bahadur Municipal School in Ashok Nagar which was unfortunately in the threshold.
“This beautiful colonial school structure is more than 90 years old and is closed due to lack of care from the authorities, which claims there are very few students.
Hope the government takes steps to restore it instead of leaving it to be destroyed,” said the history lover.
