B’luru: Popularity is only school skyrockets

Bengaluru: With a pandemic harassing school functions for the second year in a row, many parents consider online school choices only for their children, especially those in the lower class.
Education said many schools were only online – previously limited to school children – had mushroomed and their popularity grew among parents.
However, these schools are not affiliated with any board.
“Parents are attracted to the only school especially because the costs are significantly lower than those charged by regular schools.
I know many parents choose the only school and many of them happy,” said Shwetha advice, co-administrator Bangalore school , a social media group that has nearly 50,000 parents.
The 21K school, the only online school launched in June 2020, said the registration surged eight times in this academic year.
They now have more than 2,500 students and management expects students to increase to 15,000 in the following years.
“Parents want transparency in education,” said Yeshwanth Raj Parasm, Director and Co-Founder, 21K schools.
“Our quarter of our students usually go to school which collect more annual fees than Rs 1 lakh.
Many parents say online school is only affordable and offers the same facilities and better education.
Some can return when the school opens back, but we think partially Great other people will remain.
“He said parents in small towns preferred online special schools for different reasons – poor quality teacher teachers.
“Online school gives them the opportunity to learn with their colleagues from various parts of the country with a better teacher,” he said.
Class one is another online school for the main value that began operating in July 2020.
It already has 100 students, in the age group 3-12 years, on the roll.
Headquartered in Noida, most students from one student come from Bengaluru.
“Bengaluru is a technology and educated people and more open to the concept.
People are looking for affordable choices and superior quality,” said Nidhi Sabarwal, Head, Marketing and Acceptance, Class One.
Most students in the 4-8 year age group.
“We thought of this idea last year, but we needed a while to do it and sort out some disorders before it was launched,” he said.
3E Home School, school far from school, launched last month and now has 18 students.
The founder of Latha Murthy, a former principal, said they did a survey before launching and found frustrated parents with online classes in ordinary schools.
“Parents realize that teachers are not trained and there is no difference between class work and homework,” Latha said.
“In Karnataka, the cost is another big problem.
So, we decided to start an online school that will offer everything to do normal school.” Many online schools have a large number of Indian students abroad.
“Parents feel it might be easier for them to adjust to the Indian curriculum when they return,” Parasm said from the 21K school.
Sheela Anagolum, an education and secondary education expert, said two social media groups had seen an increase in members of 1,000 to almost 10,000 in the range of several months.
“To bridge the gap between face-to-face and online learning experiences, online schools need to adopt the best practices of online instructions, manage teacher friction and make online ecosystems that grow the taste and help students develop,” Shela said.
D Shashi Kumar, Secretary, the Primary and Secondary School Association of Karnataka, believes that most students will return to regular school after the regular class continues.
“Children who in schools or are part of online schools can be accommodated in classes that fit age when they move to regular school,” Kumar said.
“But they will have losses in the future such as not getting a domicile quota.
We have recommended to the government to take into account homeschool children so they must avoid abuse of online systems for social crimes such as child labor.”
