Bengaluru: Covid-19 infection and death on Sundays dipped in fresh lows during the second wave of pandemic, both in Karnataka and Bengaluru.
Karnataka reported 1,564 new cases, the lowest state since March 18 when 1,488 new cases were seen.
Death in the country revolted to 59, the lowest since April 12 when 52 deaths were reported.
Bengaluru accounted for 352 new cases and three deaths.
Daily cases are lower in the previous city on March 8 (287).
On March 21, the city reported one Covid death.
On Saturday, the number of patients who were treated in Karnataka had dipped below 50,000 for the first time in almost 90 days and touched 48,116.
Karnataka has the most active case for most second waves, after replacing Maharashtra which is at the top of the early weeks.
Karnataka now has the third highest number of active cases in India, while Maharashtra and Kerala, the only country with more than one active case of lakh at this time, is above.
