Bengaluru: The state’s legislative monsone session will be held from 13 to 24 September in Bengaluru.
The cabinet, who met here on Thursday, decided to hold a session for 10 days with very complaining of the Covid-19 protocol.
This will be the first legislative session after the government led by the Chairperson of the Bukavaraj Minister Bommai took over.
The government had previously planned to hold a session at Suvarna Soudha in Besavav.
The Chairman of the Legislative Council of the Basavaraj Horatti, who came from Dharwad, also supported a session in the Batawayavi.
But the government was reported to have decided to remember the pandemic.
It was said to have disappointed MLA and North Karnataka people when they expect sessions in their territory after a long time.
In the upcoming session, BJP is likely to face an attack from the congress for what demands the failure of the government in handling the second wave of Covid and providing relief to the families affected by flooding in North Carnataka.
Opposition parties are also expected to corner the government for alleged corruption in the procurement of PPE and a fast antigen test kit and other medical equipment.
The Public Account Committee led by Congress MLA Ramalinga Reddy has been seeking an explanation from officials about the rate of increase in which the government was said to have purchased these items.
