Bengaluru: The city on Saturday wore a deserted look because of the weekend hours of night began.
While most people live indoors and traffic stays thin compared to normal weekends, police and BBMP marshals dotted on the streets.
The first half of the day saw some traffic on a remote stretch, which also gradually decreased until night.
The police and Marshal-Marsek were seen as a guard checkpoint, almost 300 of them, and marked almost all passing vehicles.
However, ambulances, BMTC buses, private cars transport women and senior citizens are not stopped.
“Everyone claimed to be in a hurry and said they were out for medical purposes or buying essence.

In many places, commuters were seen arguing with police and Marshals.A motorists who headed to their workplace made reasons have to buy vegetables and fight with police near the satellite bus station, Mysore Road.
Vijayamma, vegetable vendor on the KR market, said the curfew hit him hard because there were no transportation facilities.
“They (the government) have given us permission to sell vegetables and fruits, but a little they think about our journey,” Vijaymma Stoi said.
Ramappa Kumar, a car driver at Gandhi Bazaar, said: “The rules of people who are educated, but we suffer.
With two locking, my family is very affected.
My children stopped going to school …” said Kumar.
“Weekends are when we get most customers,” he added.
While the grocery store saw a little without footsteps, Iqbal Khan, a shop manager in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, said people would be vigilant to come out because of the presence of the police.
“On Friday night, there was madness in my shop and people waiting among them to take food.
But today (Saturday) I only have three customers between 9am – 5 nights,” Khan added.
