Bengaluru: A 36-year-old woman from Valikaval recently lost Rs 8 Lakh to Cybercrooks after he responded to online advertisements looking for kidney donors.
Sudha women’s clothing businessman (name changed) told the police he found an ad in April.
He called the number and the person who received the call introduced himself as Dr.
Seema Rai.
“Rai told me that they would pay me Rs 1 Crore if my kidney was accepted.
Then, he asked me to register my name as a donor and pay Rs 6,999 as a fee.
He then demanded me to transfer money with the name of various costs, including the cost of the cost RBI.
I paid around Rs 8 lakh to them from April to August in various transactions, “said Sudha.
Police said Sudha needed money to develop his business.
