BLW shares to handle the third wave of Covid-19

Varanasi: The Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), works in close coordination with district administration, has prepared to fight the third wave of Covid-19 anticipated.
The General Manager of BLW Anjali Goyal on Thursday examines the BLW Central Hospital, and also the PSA oxygen plant function.
Oxygen factory with a capacity of 610 liters per minute has been installed at the BLW Central Hospital.
The factory was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the city on July 15.

GM also reviewed preparations for pediatric wards specifically for covid affected children.
As a suggestion from the District Authority, BLW has made arrangements for 18 oxygen beds, six ICU beds, seven bipapp machines and three high-flow nose cannula for children.
Procurement of additional medicines and other required equipment needed has been done.
This facility is a critical infrastructure that remembers a pediatric population of more than 3,600 under BLW hospital care.
According to BLW spokesman Rajesh Kumar, BLW has scaled up new heights in a joint effort to overcome the deadly second wave in coordination with the district administration.
In addition, the ambulance service and supply of stable drugs and oxygen has ensured the recovery of patients who were safe at the Hospital BLW.
At the request of the District Administration, BLW gave five ventilators to Homi Bhabha’s cancer hospital for Covid emergencies.
Also, 50 oxygen cylinders are also available, along with supplies of two air reservoir RF 420 LTR.

“Estimating the purpose of government vaccination in mission mode, BLW has taken all steps to fully utilize the covid vaccine dose provided by the state government,” he said, adding that more than 50,000 people have been vaccinated so far, with a larger part.
