Mumbai: W West Ward Civic H Agency on Tuesday sealed four buildings in Bandra including Film actor Kareena Kapoor and Film Maker Johar after Kapoor was tested positive for Covid-19.
The Johar building at Union Park in Bandra was sealed as a preventive measure of BMC officials as a party from which the spread of the virus was believed to have occurred at Johar’s house on December 8.
Arora’s Civic Amrita Ward was also closed Kane Road at the Bandra Houses and Seema Khan Stars in Pali Hill.
Khan two contacts from his house including his son had also tested the positive virus along with him.
Apart from those other star wives who tested the positive virus on Tuesday was Maheep Kapoor, wife of actor Sanjay Kapoor.
Maheep is currently in isolation of houses and is a close contact with the actor and also Khan who was first tested positively on December 11.
Visite Vinayak, Assistant Commissioner of BMC H West Ward said that four buildings had been sealed which were private residences for these celebrities.
“We held a RPCR test camp on Tuesday in each of these buildings throughout the day where regardless of residents, staff including drivers and waiters were also tested.
We don’t want to take risks so that until the test results come out, we will continue to keep the building sealed , “Visite said.
While the BMC guidelines requested more than five people to test the positive building that would be sealed but officials said that they sealed the building in this case with only one case as a precautionary measure.
Commissioner Kunempit Prithviraj Chavan Prithviraj Chavan was confirmed to the Toi that Maheep Kapoor has been tested positively in the Covid list on Tuesday morning and that they will follow further action by getting close contact names to be tested.
BMC comes and sealed Buildings Ans also holding test camps that caused panic in the Pali Bukit area.
Madhu Poplai from Pali Hill Association (Phra) said that to avoid further panic between residents, a message was sent from Phra’s side.
Message is read, “Dear Members, only to make everyone update that Kiran Towers on Bukit Pali has been fully sealed.
This is because of the 3 cases of Covid 19.
All member staff members will now go through RTPCR to double ensure that there are no new variants cases .
No need to panic because BMC medical staff only do the task there.
“
