Mumbai: BMC on Monday floated tenders approaching RS 1,000 Crore, inviting bidders to strengthen and increase various roads in concrete cement, mascal asphalt in the city and suburbs.
These include around RS 700 crore work on the Civic Jurisdiction, along with RS 300-Crore working on Jalan Layout Mhada.
It doesn’t need to be confused with the re-tender RS 1,200 crore road works just a few days ago.
In this batch, some tenders have been reformulated, after BMC canceled the same thing in September with a quality concern, because road contractors quoted up to 30% below estimates.
Some are fresh tenders, like the Mhada Layout road.
Spain floating and the tender refloating itself slapped the casual approach in part of the citizenship authority, indicating that there was Lacunae in the BMC process to start.

There will also be a suspended payment, with only 80% of payments released when the job is complete.
The remaining 20% payment will be released during the disabled accountability period in installments.
The interested party has up to November 3 to fill the tender.

Rais Shaikh, the leader of the Jamajwadi and MLA Party said that strict norms would not be sufficient, as with a large number of floating tenders, the same old contractor would return.

If this is not done, the road conditions will be the same and reasons such as ditches or underground leaks will be given because of the deteriorating condition,” Shaikh said.
Vinod Mishra BJP said that the time wasted on the floating tender, removed and then refined.
“Nexus between contractors and engineers has become one of the reasons for the poor quality of Mumbai.
