Mumbai: BMC will last week conduct a home-to-home survey that includes 17 lakh people to check TB (TB).
The survey will begin on Monday and continue until November 25, with 876 teams that spread on 24 wards, BMC executive health officers Dr.
Mangala Gomare, added that people must cooperate with the investigation team.
Special ‘vouchers’ will be given to people who are suspected of having TB which are entitled to free tests.
Because of the pandemic and locking Covid, the number of TB registration fell at 2020 to 40,000 as against 60,000 pluses in 2019.
In 2021 so far, BMC has managed more than 42,000 registrations from new patients.
