Mumbai: BMC on Saturday appointed Kalpesh Parmar, Conservancy Ramesh Parmar’s brother, who died of suicide on Thursday after BMC failed to pay for two years.
The BMC solid waste management department issued an appointment order for Kalpesh as Safai Kamgar at the BMC P-South Ward where Ramesh was hired.
“BMC wakes up and has provided work to the brother of Ramesh but this does not allow BMC to avoid Ramesh’s death responsibilities.
Ramesh’s father also works as a maintenance worker in BMC,” said Vinod Mishra, BJP Corporator
