BMC in batting mode to overcome the ‘O’ threat

Bhubaneswar: With the possibility of a third covid wave driven by omicron variants that towered Odisha, government and health experts have warned that the capital can be the center of the earthquake, if the past is an indication.

Suvendu Sahu, Deputy Commissioner BMC responsible for Covid management, said 16 active RRT teams now besides 20 doctors were deployed in the control room.

We already have 45 bed insulation facilities in Chandrasekharpur,” said Sahu.
After detection of Omicron variants, city authorities have increased law enforcement activities.
On Friday, the BMC team escorted by city police visited crowded places and markets and asked the shop owner and vendor to close the store at 9pm considering the possibility of crowding on New Year’s Eve.
