BMC invited parties for civilian poll talks

Bhubaneswar: Given the upcoming polls to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), the Civic Agency has invited representatives from all political parties for discussions about the allotment and location of the cubicle in a different ward on Thursday, the period of the design selection will be published.
The names of many voters are found in a booth that they cannot access easily.
Also, in case there are fewer booths compared to the ward area, parties can suggest changes when posting a list of concepts will help them appeal to the authorities for change (if needed), the final list will help them find a booth where their name is appear.
“We have to send the final voter list before the deadline of February 28, set by the State Election Commission.
Then the notification for the election by the Commission is likely to follow,” said an BMC officer.
BMC has 67 wards where the booth polling will be arranged.
Although there will be elections for the Corporator post in each ward, separate elections to the Mayor’s post will be held.
In the last 2014 election, there were 660 booths.
This time, the number of booth tends to increase by more than 50 with an increase of 1.35 Lakh selector.
