Mumbai: First, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Friday launched the Mumbai (MCAP) climate action plan where plans to combat climate change will be designed.
As part of the C40 CITIES network, which Mumbai joined in December 2020, the city was encouraged to develop a climate action plan at the end of 2021 and do so by obeying the C40 guidelines.
This is done along with technical support from WRI India, which has been involved as a knowledge partner.

“While development is needed, we must try to see how the same thing can be made more sustainable.
