In an offer for the disagrees in Borivli, BMC plans to expand the flyover under construction between Link Road and SV Road in Borivli to Western Express Highway (Weh).
Because of this, the construction costs can shoot around 300%, from around Rs 150 Crore to more than RS 650 Crore.
In 2018, the Civic body had proposed a flyover in the Kora Kendra Borivli area of the link road to the SV road area of around 930 meters.
This construction was pegged at Rs 150 Crore.
Now, BMC has proposed an extension of a blanket further to Highway Western Express with 860 meters again.
Satish Thosar Chief Engineer (Bridges) said, “This will be a new work phase that must be done in Borivli,” he said.
