BMC nodded to Chhath Puja in an artificial pool in Mumbai

Mumbai: BMC on Monday issued revised guidelines to celebrate Puja Chhath in Mumbai.
With Congress and BJP both protested through the Civic Circle of the Agency issued last week in an effort to seduce the North Indian community ahead of the city poll, BMC on Monday said it would build an artificial pool and bear the cost of this pool too.
However, the new circular has not allowed Chhath Puja on the beach and sea coast.
Chhath Puja, which began on November 10 and ended the next morning, mostly celebrated by Bihar and Uttar Pradesh.
Women are fast and pray to the Sun and Chhathi Devi for the longevity and welfare of their husbands and children.
“The number of artificial ponds needed and their location will be identified at the environment.
The cost of building this artificial pool will be borne by BMC.
Construction responsibility and then watering the pool will become BMC officials,” the corporation said.
The Civic body has asked worshipers to avoid the beach and sea coast.
BMC instead urges worshipers to celebrate festivals in a low way and do puja in artificial ponds.
The police have been asked to ensure that there is no crowding on the beach.
Congress on Saturday urged the Head of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray to allow the Puja Chhath and direct BMC to build an artificial pool for Puja throughout the city.
The head of the Mumbai Bhai Jagtap Congress, who wrote to CM about this issue, also met civilian officials on Monday urging them to revise the circle.
BJP Corporator Vinod Mishra said that BJP has also taken this problem because the previous BMC lathe is not clear and is an injustice for worshipers from the North Indian community.
