Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Tuesday issued a standard operating procedure (SOP) to verify the citizen vaccination certificate so that they can buy monthly rain travel tickets.
According to a statement issued by the Iqbal City Commissioner Chahal, BMC has initiated the verification process of the offline vaccination certificate where BMC will arrange a verification table outside the train station.
Residents who have completed 14 days after the second dose of their holidays, needed to bring a hard copy of the Covid-19 vaccination final certificate and photo ID for verification.
Offine said that the offline verification procedure for Covid-19 vaccination passed monthly trains will begin on Wednesday from 7am at the suburban train station and those who qualify after verification will travel 15 August and so on.
“Thus, to make it comfortable for residents to travel by local trains and get a monthly pass train, the offline verification process for the final vaccination of Covid-19 (completed 14 days after the second dose) will begin on Wednesday at 53 train stations in the area BMC jurisdiction with a total of 109 train stations in the Mumbai Metropolitan region.
This will function in two consecutive sessions from 7am to 11pm, “Chahal said.
“CM has announced that citizens who fulfill the requirements that have completed Covid vaccination will be able to travel by local trains from August 15.
It will be facilitated both online and offline.
The process of making applications and starting the online process may take more time.
Therefore, process Offline will begin on Wednesday, so there is no discomfort for Mumbaikars, “Chahal said.
“This offline process publishes this monthly season ticket will continue on seven days a week until the order further and therefore citizens do not need to rush to the train station,” said Chahal.
Apart from the 53 train station in Mumbai, this offline verification facility will be available at 109 local train stations throughout the Mumbai Metropolitan region (MMR region) including neighboring cities.
