BMC to call residents of 3L + to check whether the second dose was taken

Mumbai: 24 BMC’s environmental level warfield, prepared last year to smooth hospitalization and data covidrelated, now has a new task in hand: to straighten the roll of city vaccination for the next 10 days.
The war rooms had to call three lakh people who took their first shot at the vaccination center in Mumbai but did not appear for the second.
“We got this Lakh’s name from the Cowin portal and planned to reach each to find out why they had not taken a second shot even though they were due,” said the additional Commissioner BMC Suresh Kakani.
The senior health department of the doctor said this list had 3.84 lakh names.
This exercise is part of the BMC all-out plan to complete the “last mile” in Covid vaccination; 1.47 Crore Shots (91.5 lakh first shot and 56.4 lakh second shot) has been given in Mumbai nearly 500 vaccination centers.
Because the city has an adult population of 92.3 lakh which qualifies for Covid shots, allegedly that 99.1% of the city’s target population has taken first shots, and 61% have also taken the second.
The drill of the war room can provide insight into whether 99.1% of the recipient of the first shot is all from Mumbai or including ‘outsiders’ from city companies around Mumbai.
BMC Public Health Officials assumed 10-20% of 91.5 lakh who had taken the first shot in Mumbai could be from the top of the city.
“Many of the world of work Mumbai live in satellite cities, so it’s good if they have taken a vaccine here,” said a doctor.
Rules of the Ministry of Health Union people can take shots anywhere in India.
“Three Lakh people can become a resident of neighboring Civic countries who take their first shots here because of the availability of a better vaccine in Mumbai, but take the second locally.
Or they can become migrant workers who leave the city after taking the first shot.
, “Kakani said.
The amount can include mumbaikars that are resistant to take the second shot.
“We have to advise them, and get it to the nearest cellular vaccine center for the second shot,” he said.
Assistant Assistant Commissioner of Manish Walunju said exercise calls ongoing.
“Our war room called them with co-morbidities and urged them to advance and took a shot.
The problem is with people who might have taken shots when passing from the center, but maybe staying in a distant place.
We asked the people to Go to the nearest vaccination center and ensure that they are inoculated, “he said.
Kalina Corporator Tulip Miranda said, “Although BMC will run out by taking van vaccination to many slums and housing, some choose to remain not vaccinated.
Calling people who have not taken shots will function as reminders to them and hopefully they will take Shot, “Miranda said.
