BMC to provide facilities for MHADA colonies

Mumbai: Bringing significant assistance to the residents of Maharashtra Housing and the Area Development Region (MHADA) Colony, BMC finally took over the task of providing waste cleaning, water connection, road repair and basic facilities to this community.
These colonies have long been seized from the Civic body facilities because MHADA has established an independent planning authority by the state government.
Overcoming the press meeting at the Headquarters of Bandra Mhada on Tuesday, Vinod Ghosalkar, Head of the Mumbai Repair and Reconstruction Board, said that the officials of the two institutions held a meeting and made this decision.
Mayor of Kishori Pednekar, MPS Arvind Sawant and Kirticar’s shock, despite several Mhas and Mhada officials attended.
