Mumbai: After a two-day break, BMC will restart the free vaccination drive against Covid-19 in more than 310 public centers in the city around 9am on Friday.
According to daily BMC vaccination updates, private centers, which impose a fee for Jab, autoculate 35,429 Mumbaikars on Wednesday and Thursday.
While the gap is required for lack of vaccine doses, the source said that the fresh stock of 62,000 doses received by BMC on Wednesday will not be adequate.
“BMC can vaccinate up to one lakh people a day.
Even if we vaccinate 30,000 people a day, the stock will not even last for two days,” said a civilian official.
When voters at the weekend are 75,000 to one lakh, BMC officials are not sure whether they can vaccinate the note number this time.
Meanwhile, state government officials said the center had shown that it would supply 1.1 Crore vaccines to Maharashtra in July, and the state had vaccinated more than 1.2 crore people this month so far.

Maharashtra usually vaccinates between three and four lakh people when they have adequate shares.
