MUMBAI: With not one of the nine exemptions for providing vaccines to the city in a position to establish some direct link with producers, the BMC on Friday rejected all of the bids, and also its own international expression of interest (EoI) shut with no success.
Civic officials said that they refused all of the nine suggestions for distribution of one crore disease dosages.

The BMC, however, said in a statement it held discussions with Dr Reddy’s Laboratory with the sole distribution rights for its Russian Sputnik vaccine in India.
The business has agreed to provide it within an”experimental basis” into the BMC from June-end.
“More talks to secure a huge stockpile of Sputnik vaccine have been completed.
